Binyamin Shalumov paints his works so sincerely and incredibly that the very process becomes an act of art. The painting "Unreachable Peaks" makes you realize that nothing in art happens by chance. This work is painted as if from the above. The artist looks at the unreachable peaks from above which means that the peak he has reached already is higher than those he hasn't reached yet.

The central theme in the work of Binyamin Shalumov is Nature. His striking oil paintings of landscapes with trees, parks, forests and water streams make a deep and lasting impression. A Russian-born artist, who now lives in the United States, is a true cosmopolitan. He is equally at ease painting the brilliant autumn foliage in America, sunset in Tel-Aviv, mountain peaks of the Swiss Alps, or winter landscape in his home town. His paintings of ancient narrow streets in the Caucasus or boulevards in Moscow impress us with their subtle colors and interesting compositions. His works reflect the artist's spirituality and quiet self-confidence, and we feel atmosphere of love, peace, friendship, and hope for the future.
These qualities are especially noticeable in those of his paintings that depict the highest miracle of Creation - a human being. His portraits of a pensive woman, mysterious old rabbi, or mythological figures show yet another aspect of artistic ability and rich creative nature of the Binyamin Shalumov.

Binyamin Shalumov is a remarkable individual who realized his artistic potential after having worked successfully, as a scientist. It's been only seven years since he took up a paintbrush and canvas, and began creating his numerous paintings. He paints with a sure hand, with much vitality, and of course his energy and enthusiasm reflected in his works. His paintings are charged with positive energy. His sense of
purpose is certainly one of the factors that has contributed to his rapid progress in this comparatively short period. Many artists take many years before arriving at their own personal technique. Binyamin from the very beginning paintings began working with his technique of an impasto application of paint. Among his strong attributes are his color sense and his spontaneous application of paint.
